Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ScreenPolish. By using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

ScreenPolish is a browser-based editor that turns screenshots into polished, shareable images. All image processing happens on your device; we do not upload, store, or transmit the images you edit. You can use the editor without an account, though some features and export allowances require signing in.

Acceptable use

You agree to use ScreenPolish lawfully and not to: misuse or attempt to disrupt the service; probe, scrape, or reverse-engineer it beyond what the law permits; circumvent export limits or entitlement checks; or use the service to create or distribute content that is illegal or infringes the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations.

Your content

You are solely responsible for the screenshots and images you edit and export, and for ensuring you have the right to use them. Because your images are processed entirely in your browser and never reach us, we have no access to, control over, or responsibility for their content. You retain all rights to your own images.

Plans and export limits

The free plan gives signed-in users five clean, watermark-free exports per calendar month. Anonymous visitors get a single local demo export as a frictionless trial. The Pro plan offers unlimited exports and higher output resolutions. Prices, including any limited founder pricing, are shown on the pricing page and may change; changes do not affect a billing period you have already paid for.

Billing, renewal, and cancellation

Pro is a recurring subscription billed monthly or annually through our payment processor. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your account. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

Changes to the service

We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update these terms as the product evolves. When we make material changes to the terms, we will update the date above. We aim to keep the service available and reliable, but we may occasionally need to suspend it for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that exported images will meet every requirement of every platform.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScreenPolish and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of France and the European Union (placeholder to finalize), without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence.
